Last night I got off the phone with my parents, and went into our “safe haven” (or bedroom areas) to get ready for bed. I walked into the bathroom and jumped several feet in the air, as waltzing around our bathroom floor was the largest roach I have ever seen. It looked as though it had walked out of a nature fun store, and been miracuosly transformed from his rubber state to a real life roach…ughhh.
He sort of stared at me, as if to say “what you gonna do about it”.
Now normally Jacob would be home and we would escort our uninvited guests out together, however I was home alone, and said to him “I’m gonna kick your roach butt”. I left the room to find my arsenal to capture him, as he was beyond the size of insect one can use a tissue and lightly squeeze and then flush down the toilet. No, this gentleman was in the realm of giant and required the heavy duty arsenal, a tupperware. I returned and we had a dance for a bit as I tried to avoid stepping on him and he tried to avoid the Tupperware. I successfully had him captured, was proceeding to the toilet, and just as I flung him towards it, he escaped to the floor. Now at this point it was sort of like the Mario game when you are beating up Wario and each time you hit him he begins to get angrier and angrier, that was my roach. He started to move faster and we getting into the make or break, and I thought you will be caught. So with one more attempt I successfully captured him again, this time he ran in fast circles in the Tupperware frantically trying to escape. So I dropped him in the toilet and expected him to be flushed easily, but he was a fighter, and I had to flush him ten times prior to him drowning and finally making his final farewell to the Gaborone sewer system. Now you may think I’m cruel killing this roach in a toilet, but I have to tell you that I normally would escort him outside, however it was night, and I was home alone, and I had already set the alarm…so he got to visit the sewer system instead.
